What does the improvement work at Castleford Railway Station consist of?
Works consist of a high quality passenger waiting facility, improvements to the area around the station building, changes to the car park layout and refurbishment of the subway.
When were the improvement works completed?
The main construction works were completed in December 2020.
What is the total costs of the improvement work?
The costs of the works are estimated to be £2.8 million and have been funded through the West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund.
Are there plan to bring platform two back into use as part of the improvement works?
Works associated with platform two are not within the scope of the project.
Are there any plans to provide staff at Castleford Rail Station?
The station will not be staffed, however retail facilities will be available within the station building.
Are there any relevant decision documents in the public domain?

How can I provide feedback on the improvements made?
Feedback can be provided via the survey 14 June until 26 July 2021 (6 weeks).

The survey will also be distributed at Castleford Rail Station on various days and times until 26 July 2021.
