Applications for our Bus Futures Group are currently closed. The below information was available following the Mayors Big Bus Chat.
We are looking for individuals and organisations that are interested in talking more about our plans and helping shape the future of bus travel in West Yorkshire.
If this sounds like you / your organisation, you might be interested in joining our Bus Futures Group!
The group will:
Meet quarterly to hear about our bus plans and provide feedback
Hold us to account to make sure we are doing what we say we will
Be our critical friend when creating proposals or making changes
Include people from different communities and backgrounds
We are looking for members who are:
Wanting to help improve how buses contribute to life in West Yorkshire
Able to contribute effectively and confidently to conversations around future bus policy and the implementation of plans (though you don’t have to be an expert)
Representative of West Yorkshire including a diverse range of people from different ethnic backgrounds, ages, sexual orientation, and people with disabilities
Can attend a meeting every quarter. These meeting could be held online, face-to-face or a hybrid and the application form asks for preferences regarding format, time and days
We have limited numbers for our Bus Future Group so we will only accept one applicant per organisation. We are looking for a good geographical spread of people and organisations across West Yorkshire.
