Wakefield Council and West Yorkshire Combined Authority have been able to put forward final plans for the A639 Park Road, Pontefract scheme based on the outcome of the full public consultation which was held in 2021. These improvements will enhance cycling, walking facilities, upgrade the existing bus network infrastructure, and improve traffic journey times for local trips along the route.
